Foundation Crack Injection

High-pressure injections, zero-pressure experience.

Why Our Injection Method Stands Above the Rest

When it comes to crack injection, many companies and contractors offer basic solutions. However, few are willing to back their repairs with a lifetime guarantee—one that covers all damages caused by a faulty repair. At Attack A Crack, we confidently stand behind our work for life because we’ve meticulously refined our crack injection process and rigorously trained our technicians to deliver the most durable and reliable repairs available.

Our Process: Precision and Durability

Here’s an overview of what makes our method uniquely robust:

Preparing the Crack

  • We begin by grinding the crack from top to bottom using a diamond saw blade, ensuring a groove 1/2” wide and 1/4” deep. This step provides adequate space for our ports and ensures full access to the crack for complete injection.

  • Next, we carefully clear out all debris that could obstruct the injection process.

Setting the Ports

  • Unlike many companies that use plastic ports, we use durable copper ports for better performance. These are spaced 8 to 10 inches apart along the entire length of the crack.

  • The surface around the ports is sealed with a specialized hydraulic cement to prevent leaks and ensure stability during the injection.

Injecting the Materials

  • Using 100 pounds of air pressure (far more than the industry standard), we inject our materials deep into the crack. This ensures full penetration to the other side of the concrete and down to the footer below.

  • The injection starts at the bottom of the crack, working upward to achieve thorough and consistent coverage.

Finishing the Repair

  • Once the injection is complete, we crimp off the copper ports. Unlike plastic ports, which are often left protruding, our method results in a cleaner, more professional finish.

  • A specialized surface patch is applied for a permanent seal, and we clean the area to leave your space neat and tidy.

Tailoring the Solution to Your Needs

Depending on the crack and its underlying cause, we use either urethane or epoxy for the injection:

  • Urethane is ideal for settling cracks without structural concerns, particularly those causing water seepage in basements, garages, or bulkhead areas. This flexible material provides a watertight seal to keep your space dry.

  • Epoxy is recommended for minor structural cracks, as it bonds the concrete together for lasting stability. Though slightly more expensive, epoxy offers a permanent solution for structural issues.

In rare cases, when cracks show lateral movement or significant structural concerns, we incorporate carbon fiber stitches to reinforce the repair further and prevent future shifting.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It depends. Some normal settling cracks, if they are confirmed not to be getting worse or to be allowing moisture intrusion, can safely be left as they are. You might be surprised how many calls we get where we advise people that they likely don’t need to do anything at all.

In certain other situations, a DIY approach may be sufficient, and save you hundreds of dollars or more. We are happy to let you know if that’s the case as well.

And when a more robust solution is needed, ours come guaranteed for life.

  • Yes! Many people who call us wonder if they need to wait until Spring to get a repair done, and quite the opposite is true — if you’ve got active leaking, the best time to do a repair is as soon as possible.

All of our materials and process work equally well during throughout the year.

  • Most likely not! The vast majority are simple settling cracks that pose no structural risk to your home or business.

    Watch for these red flags:

    • Severe diagonal or horizontal cracks

    • Cracks that widen over time

    • Cracks wider than 1/4 of an inch

    • One side of the crack being further forward than the other (you can feel this when running your hand over the crack)

If you notice any of these signs, it’s possible your foundation’s structural integrity has been compromised.

    Not Sure? Let Us Help!

Text us photos of the cracks, and our experts will provide a quick assessment—usually in just a few minutes!

  • This really depends on the situation, but we will say that the vast majority of our wall crack repairs cost less than $1500, with some being significantly cheaper than that.

We offer discounts on multiple injections as well, if you are in a situation where you have more than one crack or leak.

For the result being a securely sealed space that you can count on for life, we trust you’ll find it well worth the value.
