Welcome to Attack a Crack

Crack Repairs
The most common type of repair for cracks has
always been the use of surface patches on the
inside, or excavation and patching the crack on the
outside with a cementitious material and covering
the area with roofing tar. These repairs do not
function through prolonged cycles of contraction and
expansion of the concrete as a result of thermal
cycling. More recently, injection methods have been
employed using epoxies and polyurethanes. Epoxies
are very rigid and, as a result of thermal cycling,
tend to cause a crack to form parallel to the original. Polyurethanes are flexible, but they are known to shrink, absorb water, and detoriate over time, due to the natural ph levels in concrete. It is also known that certain ingredients in some polyurethanes are carcinogenic.
The best method is to put a flexible gasket through the entire thickness of the wall. Flexible resins are specially formulated repair materials that are injected in a precise, carefully monitored fashion, utilizing exact pressures to ensure penetration through the entire wall thickness. Using a unique technology application the resin fuses the crack and all capillaries together, from bottom to top, and from inside, out.
Our injection system has been a cost effective solution to cracks that leak and comes with one of the best guarantees in the industry. |
